The word luxury is used loosely in this industry, and it is worth being precise about what it should mean. It is not the marble. It is the ratio of staff to clients, the fact that your therapist has time, and a setting quiet enough that your nervous system stops bracing. Everything else is decoration.
InHarmoni is a private residential clinic in El Paraíso, minutes from the beach and a short drive from Marbella. Ten clients at most, ten private rooms, and a clinical team of psychiatrists, psychologists, addiction specialists, trauma therapists and nurses. That is the part that costs money, and it is the part that decides the outcome. The clinic is licensed in Spain as a healthcare provider, which is the first thing worth checking and the thing least often mentioned.
What the setting is actually like
Purpose built as a home rather than a facility. Ten private rooms with en suite bathrooms, 2 500 square metres of Mediterranean garden, a heated pool that is usable all year, a yoga pavilion, shaded places to sit alone, and meals cooked on site by a chef rather than delivered.
The founder describes what she wanted people to feel on arrival better than any brochure line we could write: that it does not feel clinical, that it feels safe, almost like a family. Whether that lands is not something a website can prove. It is the reason to have the first conversation.
Privacy, in practical terms
Privacy in treatment is a set of arrangements, not a promise.

What is included
Private accommodation, all meals, the full therapeutic programme, medical oversight, personal training and the complementary therapies. The 28 day programme includes medically supervised detox where it is clinically needed, and four months of individual aftercare with a case manager once you are home.
Prices for each programme length are published rather than quoted on enquiry, which is deliberate. In this segment an unpriced website usually means the price depends on how much you seem able to pay.
Who it suits
Adults, most often between their thirties and their sixties, who are functioning on the outside. Senior professionals, founders, people whose responsibilities have made the problem easier to hide than to solve. We treat addiction, behavioural addiction including adicción al sexoy salud mental conditions together, because in this group they arrive together.
It suits people who want a small setting. If you would rather be one of sixty than one of ten, there are larger places and we will say so.

What makes a rehab luxury rather than simply expensive?
Staffing and time. Ask any clinic how many clients are in residence, how many hours of individual therapy you get a week, and what qualifications sit behind your programme. The answers separate the two quickly.
How many clients are there at one time?
Ten at most. That is a clinical decision as much as a comfort one, because it is what allows daily individual sessions.
Do you treat mental health as well as addiction?
