28 day residential treatment starting from €14,000 (£12,000)

One of the most important questions to ask when choosing residential treatment is who will actually be responsible for your care.

A treatment centre’s accommodation and programme brochure can tell you what the environment looks like. The clinical team tells you much more about the quality and nature of the care being provided.

InHarmoni operates with a multidisciplinary team spanning medicine, psychology, counselling and clinical support. The centre states that its team is fully qualified and brings academic knowledge and professional experience across addiction and psykisk hälsa.

Medical team

Dr Frida Fagerdahl is a General Practitioner and Head of Medical Resources at InHarmoni. Her background includes specialist experience in family medicine across Scandinavia, hospital and primary-care settings, psychiatry and addiction rehabilitation. She also has further training in areas including acupuncture, mindfulness, meditation and functional medicine.

Psychological team

Victoria Mihova is a clinical psychologist with specialist training in trauma treatment. Her work includes CBT and EMDR, with experience in mental health, eating disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions.

Tatiana Novak is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with particular expertise in trauma and EMDR. She also undertakes neuropsychiatric evaluations and more detailed clinical assessments when required.

Psychosocial team

Ann-Christine Godawszky is a mental health counsellor trained in Sweden as a socialpedagog, with 20 years of experience in addiction and mental health. Her areas of expertise include CBT, family care and relapse prevention, and she leads InHarmoni’s psychosocial team.

The wider team includes support workers, an auxiliary nurse, yoga and wellbeing professionals, personal training and nutritional staff.

Why does a multidisciplinary team matter?

Addiction rarely exists in isolation.

A person may need medical supervision, psychological therapy, trauma work, family support and practical help with returning to everyday life.

A multidisciplinary team allows different aspects of the person’s situation to be considered together.

That is central to InHarmoni’s philosophy: behandling should be built around the individual rather than forcing the individual into a standardised programme.
