28 day residential treatment starting from €14,000 (£12,000)

Medical supervision is an important part of addiction treatment, particularly when someone may require detoxification or has co-occurring physical or geistige Gesundheit conditions.

InHarmoni’s programme includes medical assessment and supervision, with psychiatric evaluation where clinically required. The centre also provides medically supervised detoxification when appropriate.

Who provides medical oversight?

InHarmoni has a multidisciplinary team that includes a general practitioner responsible for medical resources, as well as psychological and psychosocial professionals.

The current team information identifies Dr Frida Fagerdahl as General Practitioner and Head of Medical Resources. Her background includes family medicine, hospital and primary-care experience, with particular clinical experience in psychiatry and addiction rehabilitation.

What happens during detox?

Detoxification is not the same as addiction treatment.

Detox focuses on helping someone safely manage the physical process of stopping alcohol or drugs. Once someone is medically stable, psychological and behavioural treatment becomes a much larger part of the recovery process.

At InHarmoni, medically supervised detoxification is incorporated into the first stage of Behandlung where required, alongside medical assessment and psychological evaluation.

What happens if someone needs psychiatric support?

Psychiatric evaluation can be arranged when clinically necessary.

This is particularly relevant for people experiencing co-occurring mental health conditions, where addiction and mental health symptoms need to be considered together.

The exact level of medical and psychiatric input is determined by clinical assessment rather than being identical for every client.
